SUPER BEAVER

The last band that I will introduce is called "SUPER BEAVER." The band is not so popular in Japan even it pasted 10 years from their debut. The first their song that I had listened to was so emotional. The lyrics help me to think myself, and help to be better. I want to introduce their songs to young people like me.  I know it is hard to understand the lyrics if you are not a native Japanese  speaker.  But if you can understand Japanese a little bit, you may be able to catch what they are trying to say because they don't use complex sentences in their songs.

RADWIMPS

This week's band called Radwimps is a Japanese rock band, who debuted independently in 2001. I have never met a Japanese youth who don't know the band. The band is really popular among young people because they sing many love songs that youth can fell sympathy. The vocalist, Youjiro Noda, writes all lyrics and the lyrics make us moved all the time. Because he lived in the US when he was a little, he can writes lirics in both Japanese and English. Many Japanese celebrities made confess that they are a fan of the band.
All members are high-level players of each part so that their music are just amazing. If you are interested in Japanese Rock music, this is the band you should listen to at first.

Mrs. Green Apple

This week's band called "Mrs. green Apple", is a really new band. Motoki, Hiroto, Ayaka,  Ryoka, and Takano compose the band. Because they made the debt this year, there is only few information of them. If you want to be mania of J-Rock, you must know the band!! they are becoming popular more and more now. I have listened their first album, and it was amazing! i really want people to know this band. Their music is very colorful, and the vocalist has sooooo nice voice!!

Bump of Chicken

This week's band is a Japanese  group from alternative rock band from Chiba, Japan, called Bump of Chicken. Their members are Motoo Fujiwara, Hiroaki Masukawa, Yoshifumi Naoi and Hideo Masu. Motoo Fujiwara is the composer, lyricist, guitar, and main vocalist of the group. He has written all of the music, and also has drawn the artwork for their albums 'The Living Dead' and 'Yggdrasil'. Hiroaki Masukawa is the guitarist of the group.he is called "Hiro" by fans usually. Yoshifumi Naoi is the bassist of the group, adn called "chama" by fans. Hideo Masu is the drummer for the band, and called "Hidechan" by fans. He ha never talked during their live performances. My favorite track is "66 gosen."

My First Story

This week's band is called "My First Story." This band is famous because the vocalist, Hiro, is real younger brother of the vocalist in "One Ok Rock", which I introduced last post. I am one of the fans who got to know "My First Story" through "One Ok Rock." The band's sounds are different from older brother's band, but the voices of the brothers are almost the same. If people listen to their voices without any information, they will not be able to recognize which is which.
I went their music live this semester in Japan, and it was amazing. That was the best performance I've ever seen. please check this so cool band!!!

One Ok Rock

One Ok Rock is a four piece band from Japan. It is made up by Taka, Toru, Ryota, and Tomoya. They play emotional rock, alternative rock, and mixture rock. Most lyrics are written by Taka, and he is also the vocalist of the band. His voice is one of the reason why they are so popular among Japanese youth. Toru is the guitarist of the band, and also the leader. Ryota is the bass guitarist, and Tomoya is the drummer of the band. They active in the United States now so that some people might know the band already. My favorite song by them is C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h. I hope you guys will like it.

Galileo Galilei part 2

I really enjoy writing about my favorite band, Galileo Galilei. Last week, I wrote their profile so that this week will be about their musical style. They usually listen to the Western music basically. It means their musical root is also the Western music. however, if Japanese is put into the Western music, it sounds really strange to Japanese people. They are always struggling that contradiction. From that contradiction, I'll say there are 3 section in their music since they have made a debut. The first section is the alternative rock music section. Kazuki says before that he was inspired by BUMP OF CHICKEN (which is also my favorite alternative music band). So the section was made by there musical influence of the Japanese rock band). the second section is electronic section. They tried to move to Tokyo from Hokkaido when they made a debut, but they gave up soon. The reason is that the first section music was not the music that they really wanted to make. Therefore, They went back and start the second music life, which was electronic section. They learned how to play synthesizer and programing, and also two new members took part of it. The third section is the Indie Rock. The new members quit the band because the band went on the new section. They started playing guitars and drums instead of the synthesizers and keyboards. They use them sometimes now, but basically they make songs with only guitars and drums, but it is not like the first section.  

I like to catch up with them as much as possible. I'm really looking forward to seeing their music life.
